Below is a picture of Sue Spicer with "Avalanche", Sue adopted Avalance from HART.  Also in the picture is "Ambrose", she already had Ambrose!   Sue is a huge supporter of H.A.R.T.   Sue found it in her heart to adopt Avalance from us and it was a match made in Heaven, we love you Sue and Avalanche!  We rarely get a chance to rescue dogs!
This beauty is "Holly".  She was adopted by Sara and Mark of Harbourville.  We thank all the gods and godesses for Holly as she brought together a wonderful friendship.  We can't imagine Holly, Sara or Mark not in our lives.  Thanks Holly, and thanks Sara and Mark! 
Best Pet Photo Contest!!!!  H.A.R.T. is having a photo contest!  All you have to do is enter your best pet photo and a $5.00 entry fee!  You can either send it by email (to valleyhart@hotmail.com) or mail the original to: H.A.R.T., 1147 New Road, Aylesford, N.S. B0P 1C0  The winner will receive a $100.00 gift certificate for 4 Paws On Eath Pet Spa and Boutique!  You can pay your entry fee right on this website, OR mail your cheque or money order for $5.00 made payable to "Port Royal Animal Hospital" to H.A.R.T., same address as above.  You can also pay your entry fee with your photo to 4 Paws On Earth Pet Spa and Boutique, call 532-PAWS for directions!  If you are not aware of this incredible shop let me tell you it is probably one of the nicest shops in the Province for pet supplies, gifts, food and grooming!  It has an incredible line of Canadian made pet food, all of which is 100% nutritional.  This is where H.A.R.T. purchases all of their cat food.  We use Orijen cat food.  You can get in touch with Heather at 4 Paws On Earth Pet Spa and Boutique for ANY questions whatsoever relating to PET nutrition, etc.  Good luck everyone and thank you so much for your support!  The more support we get the more rescues we can get to!!!

Chili Lunch/Supper & Fleamarket!!!!!

Where:                   Aylesford Volunteer Fire Hall, Park Street, Aylesford

What:                     Veggie or Meat Chili (really GOOD), roll, beverage

                                  Freewill Fleamarket too!

Cost:                      $8.00 (children 12 and under:  $5.00)

Please come on out and have a great bowl of chili on a cold winter day!  I promise you will love it, it's GOURMET!  Mmmmmmmm.  Also browse our freewill fleamarket for some great finds!  All proceeds go to Port Royal Animal Hospital where all of our rescues are treated, tested, vaccinated and spayed/neutered by Dr. Jody Rice.  We will also be selling raffle tickets on a basket full of pet goodies!  Who knows what else we might have there!  Hope to see lots of you there!  If anyone wants to volunteer, or donate something for a prize, baked goods for desserts!  341-HART.

The sweetie pie dog above is "Mindy", she belongs to Inge Sadler who has an orphaned kitten rescue called "Pick of The Litter Society" in Bedford.  Inge rescued Mindy a couple of years ago, she does not have any teeth and her tongue is always hanging out of the side of her mouth.  She is the dearest little dog on the planet and I wanted to share her photo with you.  We love you Mindy!

The 1st Annual H.A.R.T. Golf Tournament!!

This tournament will take place this June, 2010 at the Eden Golf & Country Club in Paradise, Nova Scotia.

The cost for this event is only $60.00 per player.  This price includes 18 holes of golf, a meal from the licensed dining room, and various prizes.

There will be a prize presentation and dinner directly after golf at the Eden Golf & Country Club Banquet Room.

Golf attire is required.  Collared shirts and slacks.  No steel spikes are allowed on the course.  All participants must be at least 16 years of age.

Expected # of people:  maximum 120

Requested items:  Any donations for prizes would be appreciated; we are looking for (but not limited to...) glasses, towels, sports gear, and barware, etc.  They may be with or without a company logo.

You also have the option of sponsoring a hole for a $100.00 donation; your company name would be clearly visible on a stake at the hole, as well as noted on all advertising for the tournament.

If you could do both, that would be great, if you could do one or the other, that would be great as well!!!
