Below is a picture of Sue Spicer with "Avalanche", Sue adopted Avalance from HART. Also in the picture is "Ambrose", she already had Ambrose! Sue is a huge supporter of H.A.R.T. Sue found it in her heart to adopt Avalance from us and it was a match made in Heaven, we love you Sue and Avalanche! We rarely get a chance to rescue dogs!

The sweetie pie dog above is "Mindy", she belongs to Inge Sadler who has an orphaned kitten rescue called "Pick of The Litter Society" in Bedford. Inge rescued Mindy a couple of years ago, she does not have any teeth and her tongue is always hanging out of the side of her mouth. She is the dearest little dog on the planet and I wanted to share her photo with you. We love you Mindy!

Please note the date and location of our golf tournament has changed. We have done this so that it will accommodate you better. It is now on a Saturday instead of a Friday, and with the new location the prices are lower too. Here are all of the new details:

Date:                 Saturday, July 31, 2010

Time:                 1100 am Tee of time (shot gun start)

Place:                Annapolis Royal Golf & Country Club, Annapolis Royal, NS

Cost:                 $50.00 registration per person, $200.00 per team of four

Along with the registration is included a barbecued chicken meal and silent auction. If you do not wish to golf but wish to attend the supper and auction the price is $18.00. You must book in advance for the meal as well. (532-PAWS)

There will also be prizes for:

Putting challenge on the practice green; Hole in One; Closest to the pin challange and longest drive!

Requested items: we are still collecting donations for prizes and items for our silent auction. Anything new or lightly used would be great.

We also have the option of sponsoring a hole for a $100.00 donation. Your company name would be clearly visible on a stake at the hole, as well as advertising at the tournament.

Hope to see a lot of people attend this event, it's VERY important to us, and especially to all of the homeless animals.

One of the easiest ways to support H.A.R.T. is to attend our many events that we have throughout the year. We have suppers, fleamarkets, golf tournament, contests, you name it!

If you would like to put on an event for us let us know! It doesn't matter where you live either as we rescue and adopt all over the Province! So our support is everywhere.

If you are an artist or musician (or have any special talents) and would like to help out with donating some of your work (or music, live or not) to us this is also another fantastic way to help us out! This holds true especially for photographers that might want to donate a photograph or two.

The sky is the limit .... use your imagination and help all that you can. You'd be surprised once you put your head into gear what you can come up with that would help our rescue tremendously!

Join us for a fundraising event to support H.A.R.T. There will be a yard sale, chance auction, bake sale, bbq and door prize!!!!

When: Saturday, July 24th, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Where: Centerlea Community Hall, Hwy #201, Centerlea, Bridgetown, NS

Please come out to this event!!! It is being put on by Marcie Shearer and family, who works at Port Royal Animal Hospital! WOOOHOOO MARCIE!!!!
